DESCRIPTION:CALAVERAS: A Community Exhibition \nOctober 28 – December 7\, 2024 in CAA Student Gallery\, Rancho Campus\, and Instagram @chaffeystudentgallery \n \nThe calavera\, or “skull” in Spanish\, has become one of the most recognizable cultural and artistic elements of el Día de Muertos (the Day of the Dead) tradition. The Calaveras on view were designed and ornamented by students\, faculty\, and staff in the Chaffey College community on all three campuses. Thank you to the many contributors and creators. This exhibition was organized by the Wignall Museum of Contemporary Art and the Center for Culture and Social Justice. \n \nCalaveras Making Workshops \nFontana Campus\, Monday\, September 30\, 9:30-11:30am\,  FNAC-213; \nChino Campus\, Wednesday\, October 2\, 2-4pm\, Chino Quad; \nRancho Cucamonga Campus\, Wednesday\, October 2\, 2-4pm\, location TBD \nJoin us to create your own Calaveras. No experience necessary\, all materials provided.
