DESCRIPTION:CALAVERAS: A Community Exhibition \nOctober 28 – December 7\, 2024 in CAA Student Gallery\, Rancho Campus\, and Instagram @chaffeystudentgallery \n \nThe calavera\, or “skull” in Spanish\, has become one of the most recognizable cultural and artistic elements of el Día de Muertos (the Day of the Dead) tradition. The Calaveras on view were designed and ornamented by students\, faculty\, and staff in the Chaffey College community on all three campuses. Thank you to the many contributors and creators. MariNaomi is also the founder and administrator of several important databases: the Cartoonists of Color Database\, the Queer Cartoonists Database\, and the Disabled Cartoonists Database.
