SUMMARY:A Racket of Banshees Exhibition Reception for the Artists
DESCRIPTION:A Racket of Banshees: Goddesses and Monsters Re-Imagined  \nCurated by the Association of Hysteric Curators  \nSeptember 8- November 14\, 2026  \nReception for the Artists – Saturday\, September 12\, 12-2pm  \nA Racket of Banshees: Goddesses and Monsters Re-Imagined invites viewers into a world of myth\, feminist archetypes\, and speculative futures. Expanding on the 2023 online exhibition Goddesses and Monsters with LADIES’ ROOM\, the 2026 exhibition features returning and new contemporary feminist artists across sculpture\, painting\, drawing\, photography\, video\, performance\, and community workshops.  \nBlending the divine and the monstrous\, the exhibition explores transformation\, gender equity\, and imagined futures. Monsters challenge the status quo\, while goddesses illuminate unknown possibilities. Together\, they create a space between myth and reality where viewers are invited to reflect on what must end\, what can emerge anew\, and how another world might be possible.

SUMMARY:Fractured Foundations Exhibition Tour
DESCRIPTION:Wednesday\, September 23\, 2026 • 12:00 -1:00 PM • In Person • $15\nJoin us for a tour of AMOCA’s exhibition Fractured Foundations: 250 Years of American History with Exhibitions Manager Pam Aliaga. \nFractured Foundations coincides with the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States. The exhibition asks what it means to celebrate a nation whose history is inseparable from contradiction. Art may not pass legislation or overturn court decisions\, but it does make injustices visible. By naming what has been suppressed\, honoring those who have resisted\, and placing present-day threats within their historical context\, these works call on viewers to move from witness to participant by engaging\, advocating\, and holding American democracy to account for all its people.
