SUMMARY:CCMA's Spotlight Gallery Exhibit: Modern Expressions in Quilting Reception
DESCRIPTION:The Inland Empire Modern Quilt Guild is a chapter of the internationally-recognized Modern Quilt Guild. Although modern quilters work in different styles and define modern quilting in many ways\, several characteristics often appear to define a quilt as modern. These characteristics include bold colors and prints\, high contrast and graphic areas of solid color\, improvisational piecing\, minimalism\, expansive negative space\, and alternate grid work designs. To learn more about IE Modern Quilt Guild\, visit iemodernquiltguild.com. Join us for conversation\, art\, and small appetizers. \nThis exhibition is generously sponsored by Road to California\, Upland and Dave Make It Sew\, Rancho Cucamonga.
