SUMMARY:James and the Giant Peach
DESCRIPTION:Presented by Valverde Stage Productions Inc. \nRoald Dahl’s James and the Giant Peach is now a Theatre for Young Audiences musical for the whole family to enjoy! Featuring a wickedly tuneful score by the Tony Award-nominated team of Pasek and Paul (Dogfight and A Christmas Story the Musical) and a curiously quirky book by Timothy Allen McDonald (Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka\, The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley)\, critics rave: James and the Giant Peach is a “masterpeach!” \nWhen James is sent by his conniving aunts to chop down their old fruit tree\, he discovers a magic potion that results in a tremendous peach… and launches a journey of enormous proportions. Suddenly\, James finds himself in the center of the gigantic peach\, among human-sized insects with equally oversized personalities\, but after it falls from the tree and rolls into the ocean\, the group faces hunger\, sharks and plenty of disagreements. Thanks to James’ quick wit and creative thinking\, the residents learn to live and work together as a family. The dangerous voyage is a success\, but the adventure takes a whole new twist once they land on the Empire State Building. \nThis production of James and the Giant Peach is the 60-minute Theatre for Young Audiences version\, suitable for all ages!

SUMMARY:The Improvised Shakespeare Company®
DESCRIPTION:A fully improvised Shakespearean masterpiece comes to life right before your eyes. All of the dialogue is said for the first time\, the characters are created as you watch\, and if you’re wondering where the story is going…so are they! \nThe Improvised Shakespeare Company® is one of the most critically-acclaimed improv troupes in the world. It was founded in Chicago in 2005 where its hit show\, Improvised Shakespeare Chicago℠ still runs today. The ISC also performs regularly at The Largo at the Coronet in Los Angeles for audiences that are “Beatlemaniacal” (LA Times). It has been featured at the Kennedy Center\, 92nd St Y\, Bonnaroo\, San Francisco Sketchfest\, Bumbershoot Music and Arts Festival\, Sun Valley Writers’ Conference\, and the Just For Laughs festival in Montreal and Chicago. It plays frequently at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts where The ISC has performed nearly 300 performances including a 178-show residency as part of the DCPA’s Broadway Series. It also makes appearances in New York where it “plays to packed theaters with an atmosphere more like a rock club than a repertory house” (The New York Times). The ISC has been named Chicago’s best improv group by both the Chicago Reader and the Chicago Examiner and has received numerous awards in LA (Best of LA-LA Weekly)\, New York (Best Comedic Group-New York Nightlife Awards)\, Chicago (Chicago Improv Foundation) and more. \nEach performance is a one-night-only creation that is epic\, hilarious\, and fleeting\, proving that even in the modern age\, the spirit of Shakespeare thrives in the thrill of spontaneity.

The album went platinum and produced the breakout hit “The Way\,” a chart-topping single that earned Grammy nominations and became a defining track of late ‘90s alternative rock. \nFollow-up singles including “Out of My Head” and “Fire Escape” further established the band’s place on radio and on tour\, with a sound that blended melodic hooks and straightforward\, guitar-driven rock. \nOver the years\, Fastball has continued to record and perform\, maintaining a steady presence while staying true to the songwriting that first brought them success. SUMMARY:TAIKOPROJECT
DESCRIPTION:Founded in Los Angeles in 2000\, TAIKOPROJECT was created with the goal of shaping a contemporary American voice within the art of taiko. Drawing from traditional Japanese drumming\, the group has developed a performance style that combines powerful rhythms with original compositions and choreography. \nTheir breakthrough came in 2005 when they became the first American ensemble to win the Tokyo International Taiko Contest\, establishing them as a leading force in the global taiko community. Since then\, they have appeared on major stages including the Academy Awards\, the Grammy Awards\, and national television programs\, as well as collaborating with artists across genres. \nTAIKOPROJECT’s work is defined by its physicality and precision. SUMMARY:Alex Cuba
DESCRIPTION:At the heart of his ability to charm anything that breathes is Alex’s mastery of a deeper\, more important language\, he speaks joy. And it doesn’t matter if it’s Tito Puente joy or Stevie Wonder joy; it’s contagious. \nIt shines through songs he’s co-written with Nelly Furtado and Jason Mraz. It’s the north star of his compositions. Wherever his songs start their journey – in the land of passion\, deep affection\, or even melancholy – they know where they’re headed. Their path leads to a deep\, shimmering gladness that everyone wishes was their native tongue. \nIt’s this undeniable exuberance\, expressed with masterful musicianship that has catapulted Alex to the highest levels of global critical acclaim. It’s what led this fiercely independent artist to two Juno awards\, four Latin Grammys\, and a 2022 Grammy for Best Latin Pop Album. Just like his songs elicit “la-la-las” from audiences without a translator\, they woo critics without a middleman. The magic he makes with melody and rhythm can’t be held back. Because in the end\, whether in times of trouble or celebration\, people everywhere want to go where Alex’s songs are going to an unconditional sense of home\, belonging\, and bliss.

SUMMARY:Insun Park & Generals
DESCRIPTION:Insun Park is a Seoul-based artist and one of the few female masters of Gangnyeong mask dance\, a form of Korean traditional performance recognized as part of the country’s National Intangible Cultural Heritage. Traditionally performed by men\, this art form combines music\, movement\, and storytelling into a unified theatrical expression. \nPark began her training at a young age and has since developed a distinct artistic voice that bridges traditional practice and contemporary perspective. Her work explores how inherited forms can evolve\, engaging with both the historical roots of mask dance and its place in modern cultural conversations. \nWith Insun Park & Generals\, she expands that vision into a collaborative\, music-driven performance. The ensemble blends traditional Korean instrumentation and rhythmic structures with rock elements\, creating a layered and immersive sound. Movement\, music\, and narrative unfold together\, offering a fresh interpretation of a centuries-old tradition. \nBoth grounded and forward-looking\, the performance invites audiences into a form that is at once deeply rooted and continually evolving.

A crash course of everyone’s favorite Broadway blockbusters\, including celebrity satires\, pop culture zings accompanied by hip-hop on the piano! After tearing it up in New York\, Chicago\, Los Angeles\, and London\, Spamilton: An American Parody will stage a singing\, dancing\, comedy revolution in Rancho Cucamonga! \nMarilyn Stasio of Variety mused\, “Hip-hop\, Broadway showtunes\, Viennese waltzes — is there anything this guy can’t write? No\, not Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda\, but Gerard Alessandrini\, whose ingenious parody Spamilton simultaneously salutes and sends up Miranda and his signature musical.” Ben Brantley of The New York Times said\, “This smart\, silly\, and often convulsively funny thesis\, performed by a motor-mouthed cast that is fluent in many tongues\, is the work of that eminent specialist in Broadway anatomy\, pathology\, and gossip\, Gerard Alessandrini.” \nYou aren’t getting this at that other show so hip-hop over to Spamilton: An American Parody!

SUMMARY:Martin Isenberg: The Way I Feel Inside
DESCRIPTION:Inspired by the films of Wes Anderson\nMartin Isenberg has built a career as a versatile and sought-after bassist in New York City’s jazz community\, performing at venues including Birdland\, the Blue Note\, and the Public Theater\, and appearing in Broadway productions and festivals across the U.S. and internationally. \nWith The Way I Feel Inside\, he brings a more personal story to the stage. The work draws from a life shaped by early loss\, beginning with the death of his father\, and follows a path through adolescence\, artistic discovery\, and years of professional musicianship. \nReleased in 2023\, the album was created during a period of profound change. Isenberg stepped away from a decade-long marriage\, leading to a body of work that reflects both uncertainty and transformation. Inspired in part by the visual and emotional tone of filmmaker Wes Anderson\, the music explores the idea of reimagining one’s life and identity. \nBlending live performance with personal narrative\, The Way I Feel Inside moves through themes of loss\, reinvention\, and acceptance. It is an intimate and evolving work that reflects an artist still in motion\, using music as both guide and expression.
