This event is perfect for those with no experience and those who have been wanting to learn. In 2025\, IMD will explore “The Future of Museums in Rapidly Changing Communities\,” focusing on how museums can navigate and contribute to a world undergoing profound social\, technological\, and environmental shifts.\n\nThe objective of International Museum Day (IMD) is to raise awareness about the fact that\, “Museums are an important means of cultural  exchange\, enrichment of cultures and development of mutual  understanding\, cooperation and peace among peoples.” Organised on 18 May each year or around this date\, the events and activities planned to  celebrate International Museum Day can last a day\, a weekend or an entire week. IMD was celebrated for the first time 40 years ago. All around the world\, more and more museums participate in International Museum Day. Last year\, more than 37\,000 museums participated in the event in about 158 countries and territories.\n\n

DESCRIPTION:CALAVERAS: A Community Exhibition \nOctober 28 – December 7\, 2024 in CAA Student Gallery\, Rancho Campus\, and Instagram @chaffeystudentgallery \n \nThe calavera\, or “skull” in Spanish\, has become one of the most recognizable cultural and artistic elements of el Día de Muertos (the Day of the Dead) tradition. The Calaveras on view were designed and ornamented by students\, faculty\, and staff in the Chaffey College community on all three campuses. Thank you to the many contributors and creators.
