2022-23 School Arts Sponsorships Awarded
Each year, the Rancho Cucamonga Community & Arts Foundation offers sponsorship funding to local middle and high schools for arts programs, projects, events, or purchases to expand or elevate student learning. Teachers have often expressed how extremely limited their classroom funding is, and any additional support can go a long way in increasing the teacher and student experience. The Foundation is dedicated to supporting arts in our schools and believe that there are multiple, long-range, and lasting benefits for children who have the opportunity to tap into their creative and imaginative abilities. We applaud all teachers who extend themselves and their own creativity to find ways – and means – to broaden their student’s learning in the arts.
This past Fall, RCCAAF awarded $1,000 Sponsorships to the following School Arts Programs:
Cucamonga Middle School Performing Arts Program – Michelle Conte, Drama Teacher
For the purchase of costumes, props, and set pieces for the Spring 2023 Peter Pan Jr. production.
“This is absolutely amazing! Your email was perfect timing yesterday too. Our theatre students had the unbelievable opportunity to Zoom with Edred Utomi, who is currently playing Hamilton with the Angelica Hamilton Touring Company, yesterday. I was able to tell our kids we got $1,000 scholarship right after and they all broke out in a roar of cheer! Thank you again so much for helping our program. It truly makes a world of difference to be able to have funds to get quality costumes and sets.”
Etiwanda High School Choir – Sheri Nelson, Choir Director
For the purchase of a camcorder and microphone for performance videos
“Thank you to the foundation!!!!! This grant money is the same amount of money I get as my ‘department account’ to pay for all my music, staples, pencils, paper for copy machine, Kleenex, etc. Your program has allowed me to enrich the choir programs while at Alta Loma HS/Etiwanda HS and provide more for our students over the years. What a blessing it is to have the Rancho Cucamonga Community & Arts Foundation!”
Los Osos High School Theatre Department – Randy Shorts, Theatre Director
For the purchase of welding equipment for a Technical Theatre Welding Shop
WOOHOO!!! Thank you all! I’m so excited!! Thanks so much! My technicians are gonna be so excited! I can’t wait to tell them!
Applications for the 2023/24 School Year will be available in August 2023 with funding provided in October 2023. Stay tuned!
