Pinwheel Table with Dennis Hays

$600 per person and includes all materials.
Class Description
This hands-on, 2-day workshop will guide you in creating a unique side table while introducing important aspects of design, craftsmanship, and various woodworking techniques. By the end of the workshop, you will have completed a beautifully crafted table and gained the enriching experience of woodworking at the Maloof.
The table stands approximately 20 inches high, with a curved triangular top measuring about 17 inches from corner to corner. This all-hardwood maple, Maloof-inspired 3-legged side table, designed by Dennis Hays, features a distinctive “pinwheel” design pattern in both the top and base.
Throughout the workshop, you will learn the basics of woodworking techniques, including an introduction to using a bandsaw, multiple types of routers, various sanders, a Domino machine, a miter saw, and other hand tools. Each new experience will be accompanied by careful safety training to ensure a productive and safe learning environment.
Instructor
Master woodworker Dennis Hays has been crafting furniture for 45 years. Dennis’ work consistently emphasizes beauty, blending his own unique style with deep inspiration from Sam Maloof’s craftsmanship and vision.
