MariNaomi in Conversation Thursday, November 7 1-230pm CAA-211 MariNaomi (they/them) is an acclaimed author and illustrator, known for their award-winning work I Thought You Loved Me (Fieldmouse Press, 2023), among other titles. Their comics and paintings have been showcased in prestigious institutions, including the Smithsonian, the de Young Museum, the Cartoon Art Museum, the Asian Art Museum, and the Japanese American National Museum. MariNaomi is also the founder and administrator of several important databases: the Cartoonists of Color Database, the Queer Cartoonists Database, and the Disabled Cartoonists Database. Join them for an insightful discussion about their creative process and the inspiration behind their passion for comics. Presented in collaboration with PRISM.
