The perfect way to get your hands dirty, relax, and have fun! In this one-hour introductory class, you’ll learn the basics of throwing on the potter’s wheel.

On the second Saturday of each month, AMOCA’s docents offer a guided look into one of our current exhibitions. August’s tour will focus on Making in Between: Indigenous Americans.

Join us for a 90-minute family handbuilding workshop in the AMOCA Studio where we will explore the practice of kurinuki, or “carving out.” Your ticket includes instruction, materials, glazing and firing, and museum admission on the day of the workshop. Advance registration required.
