RCCAAF’s 2025 Community Performance Showcase, “All That Jazz,” was a lively and enjoyable trip down jazz lane, with songs representing the “new jazz era” starting in the 20’s, through classic jazz of the 40’s and 50’s, all the way through today’s modern jazz. “All That Jazz” was a true variety show, featuring vocals, live jazz musicians, theatre, and dance performances. With two performances offered on Saturday, June 28, at the Lewis Family Playhouse, RCCAAF was delighted to showcase the talents from the following performing arts organizations:
CalJAS (California Jazz Arts Society) – Jazz Music by Reed Gratz (piano), Bruce Babad (alto sax/flute), Baba Elefante (bass)m Steve Dixon (drums), Dale Boatman (Vocals) who performed:
“Just Friends,” “They Can’t Take that Away from Me,” “Tangerine,” “All the Things You Are,”
“The Very Thought of You,” and “LadyBird”
C5 Vocal Ensemble (Chaffey Community College) – Jazz Vocals by China Ang, Faith Harms, Trinity Heir, Skyla Pedraza, Aylin Ramos, Brianna Raygoza, Jason Salcido, who performed:
“Shiny Stockings,” “Stormy Weather,” “Get Happy” / “Happy Days are Here Again,”
“Orange Colored Sky,” and “Hot Knife”
VSPI (Valverde Stage Productions, Inc.) – Jazz on Broadway with songs from the musical “Chicago” by Genevieve August, Jenna Fuerte, Madelyn Eriksen, Annie Llavore, Amanda Halpern, Jaclyn Murhpy, Cash Guerra, James Ellis, and Frank, Yesenia, and Sequoia Valverde, performing:
“All That Jazz” / “Cellblock Tango,” “Mr. Cellophane,” and “Nowadays” / “Hot Honey Rag”
Rhythm Addict Dance and The Limónadas Dance Company – Jazz Dance by Cristhian Burbaj, Gabriella Reyes, Leslie Escudero, Agustin Martinez, Esther Garrison, Ignacio Bautista, who performed:
